High Fire Hazard Rating in Effect in York Region

The current local fire hazard rating is high due to the hot and dry conditions. Central York Fire Services (CYFS) asks residents of Newmarket and Aurora to use extra caution when using fire outdoors, including outdoor firepits, open air burning or wood fired BBQs.

Follow the fire safety checklist to do your part to keep flames under control:

Sanitary Installation Road Closure - Edwards Street - June 5 to 15

Please be advised that the Town of Aurora will be undertaking sanitary sewer installation on Edwards Street in Aurora. Trisan Construction has been contracted by the Town to install sanitary sewer on Edwards Street between Kennedy Street East and Cousins Drive.
